DescriptionIn October 1948 Czech Alex Nypl obtained a visa to travel and settle in Australia. In November of that year, he and other migrants from the Lugwigsburg displaced persons camp in Germany, were taken by train to Genoa to board the SS PROTEA sailing to Australia on the 16th of November.
