DescriptionThese three folders consisting of trip and maintenance reports for three vessels were collected by Alan Rice whilst serving as a merchant seaman in the Australian coastal trade. They consist of one folder outlining a trip report, accounts and receipts for a voyage from the builder's yard to Australia by SS KAPARA (1914); one folder including trip report, dredging records and newspaper clippings detailing the impending scrapping of SD PIONEER (1965 - 1979); and one folder of maintenance records including annual repairs and dry docking reports for SD MATHEW FLINDERS (1955 - 1965).
