DescriptionThis archive series consists of an album of photographs of the yacht ASGARD presented to its owner Sydney sailor Charles Cooper by photorgapher and sailor Peter Luke in April 1944; a 1948 - 1949 program from the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia. It also includes an audio cassette of an interview with Charles Cooper on 25 January 1994 which discusses the origins of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia during World War II when Cooper, Luke and Jack Earl became founding members, and the race which became the club's signature event, the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.
