DescriptionCaption reads 'Disabled in mid-ocean and towed to Auckland the Ellerman and Bucknall steamer, "City of Kimberley" (6304 Tons), which lost her propeller approximately 1300 miles from Auckland. The vessel was taken in tow by the New Zealand Shipping Company's new motor-ship Opawa, which was en route to Auckland on her maiden voyage.'
