DescriptionThe first page of the diary reads: "Diary of the first joint venture of technical cooperation between two Australian companies, to produce cultured [pearls] by all- Australian Nationals". The introduction on pages 42 to 43 explains how the technical cooperation project came about, and the purpose of the project. Diary entries give daily details of the days activities and scientific and technical procedures and their results. The diary includes some personal remarks about the conditions the team were operating under, the author's relationships with the team members and about his wife Yurie George.
