DescriptionThis archive series consists of ephemera collected by Gea Van Dersheer who travelled from Sydney to the United Kingdom on the FAIRSEA in 1956, the CASTEL FELICE in 1963 and the FAIRSKY in 1964. It includes passenger tickets, programs, playing cards, newsletters, menus, leaflets, an itinerary, a Crossing the Line certificate, brochure and booklets.HistoryWhen SITMAR won the Australian Government contract transport emigrants from Southampton to Australia in 1955 the CASTEL FELICE was won of the vessels. When SITMAR lost the contract in 1970 the CASTEL FELICE was scrapped.
