DescriptionThis sailor-style one piece swimsuit in royal blue faille weave Bri-nylon features a plunging 'v' neckline with a black and white striped insert. Trimmed in a nautical red bias binding that ends with a decorative bow, the design also has a half skirt for modesty, a 'v' back, and a stitched swan insignia on the lower right hip.HistoryIn the 1950s and early 1960s swimsuits and sunsuits were often shaped with panelling and built-in supports to create a curvaceous, ultra-feminine silhouette emphasising the bust, waistline and hips.
