Description22-footer PORTIA first appears in the records in 1888 and raced at least up until 1896, taking part in several of the Intercolonial Challenges against boats from Brisbane. Large crews were carried , but the 16 or more men aboard on this light day suggests it may be a picnic day, usually a Sunday when the crew would sail the boat to a Harbour beach for a picnic (IS).
