DescriptionGeorge Leatham Roberts joined HMAS TINGIRA at the age of 15 with the rank of Boy Sailor 2nd class. He served in the Royal Australian Navy from 12 September 1914 to 30 September 1915 when he was invalided out. Tragically, Roberts drowned a month later in the harbour near his home in Mosman.
