DescriptionOne of twenty-six black and white photographs showing the sunk Orient Line passenger liner SS AUSTRAL and its subsequent refloating. The AUSTRAL sunk in Sydney Harbour on 11 November 1882 while coaling, it was refloated on 28 March 1883 and temporarily repaired at Cockatoo Island.
