HistorySS RELIANCE was a small coastal passenger vessel owned by Thurlow and Company and registered at Newcastle, New South Wales. The steamship was built in Port Stephens by George Arthur Ratcliffe in 1907, in 1928 it caught fire off Port Stephens and sank.
