HistoryGeorge Anderson completed his training at at the London Radio College in 1935 at the age of twenty. From 1935 to 1949 he worked as a ship's Radio Officer in the merchant navy, during WWII he was employed by Marconi International Marine Communicationd Ltd. He survived the sinking of the CAPE VERDE on 9 July 1942 and served on ships transporting ammunition and supplies to troops along the North African coast 1942-1943.
