DescriptionPostcard depicting Orient Line SS ORCADES. On the reverse is written: 'Dear Mother, We are sitting in the train. Had no trouble getting here. We left the house at 9.45. The train leaves at 10.10. I have bought this card on the station they are selling them at 9d each. It does not look like a very large boat. We shall see what it is like when we get there. It is such a long train & there seems to be lots of people going on it. We have enjoyed our stay at Mrs Cantel's. she is a nice woman. I sent a letter to Maggie this morning. We are well & conscious of the Lord's presence. My heart feels full this morning & I can't keep the tears back, but we know he is with us & will take care of us. Praise the Lord. God bless you dear mother & keep you conscious of his presence every day - much love from Emma & Ruth.' It is addressed to: 'Mrs E.
