The letter begins "Dear Sir, It is with regret and haste that I write this letter to you; regret that such a small misunderstanding could lead to the following circumstances...".HistoryEric Bolton Beeham worked as a pilot for the Maritime Services Board from 1962-1982 in Newcastle, Ballina, Tamba, Coffs Harbour, Port Kembla, Botany Bay and Sydney Harbour. During his employment he also continued to serve in the Naval Reserves.
