DescriptionTelegram signed by H Stafford, lighthouse keeper from Gabo Island. It describes the SS FEDERAL wreckage found, which consists on hatches, spars, boat chocks, cabin fittings and taffrails. Mallacoota advised that they found a life-buoy on the beach that read ‘SS FEDERAL of Melbourne’ as well as a boat portion.
