DescriptionHandwritten letter on McIlwraith McEacharn & Company, London, letterhead reads 'We beg to acknowledge your letter of 19th May for which we thank you the gross tonnage of the KAROOLA as given in Lloyds is 7170 tons but we have since heard from Mr Thomson that this has been corrected and that the figures given by Messrs Harland & Wolff is 7391 tons which we think you may take as being correct'.
