DescriptionNewspaper clipping from the Sydney Morning Herald. The clipping consists of two newspaper clippings pasted together. Top clipping titled: Men who've sailed / world alone, written by William Bennelong, and it contains a section about Oskar Speck. It also mentions Alfred Peterson, Edward Allcard, Stanley and Colin smith, Ahto Walter, Alain Gerbault, William Robinson, Harry Pidgeon, and Captain Slocum. This clipping is hand dated 4.3.1950. The second article titled: Seven years in a kayak / made him Australian provides an outline of Speck's voyage and contains a black and white image of him in his kayak. It is also hand dated 4.12.49.
