HistoryBuilt in 1887 by Barclay, Curle & Co., Glasgow, for R&J Craig, Glasgow. The first master was Captain R. McKenzie, used in the Indian jute trade. In 1906/1907 it was sold to the Chilean shipping company Sociedad Nacional de Buques y Maderas, Valparaiso, Captain F. Walker. In 1916 it was sold to the American company Pacific Freighters Co., San Francisco, and renamed KATHERINE.
