HistoryIf SS KOOLONGA (I) the vessel is 4260 tonnes, built in 1914, owned by McIlwraith McEacharn Limited, requisitioned by the Royal Australian Navy on 6 August 1914 as the collier and supply ship HMAS KOOLONGA. Returned to McIlwraith McEacharn in late 1915 sold and renamed IRON MONARCH in 1917. Sold to Philippines intersts in 1937. Could be SS KOOLONGA (II) built 1918.
