HistoryThere were two ORONTES- one that was scrapped in 1926/9, and one that was built in 1929. They were both steamships, but the first ORONTES had one funnel and the tonnage of 9,028 and the second two funnels and tonnage of 20,000. Both were called RMS and SS ORONTES at different times, being called RMS when in contract and carrying mail for the British Royal Mail.
