HistoryGUTHRIE 2,338 gross tons. Iron steamship built by W Doxford & Sons, Sunderland for the E & A Line. Employed in the Australia to China route via Singapore. Acquired 1904 by Burns Philp & Co. and employed on the Australia - Java - Singapore route, taking the ports of Thursday Island and Darwin. 1912 sold to G S Yuill & Co Ltd (Australian-Oriental Line) and sold in 1913 Hong Kong interests, wrecked 1 November 1914 at Taku bar bound for the China.
