BiographyThe designer of many of the most popular Aboriginal art designs found on (the brand) Australian Native T-Shirts is Australian Aboriginal artist Danny Eastwood who is a descendant of the Ngemba Tribe of Western NSW on his mother's side. Danny was born in Sydney and lived in the Eora area until he was thirteen. He now lives in the Dahrug area of Western Sydney. Eastwood was awarded NSW Aboriginal Artist of the Year in 1992, National Aboriginal Artist of the Year in 1993 and won the NSW Parliament's Indigenous Art Prize Award in 2008.

Eastwood has been commissioned by local councils in western and southern Sydney to create public murals. A cartoonist for the Koori Mail, Eastwood also teaches visual art in schools and prisons throughout NSW.

His totem is the galah (Gillawama).
