BiographyIn 1899 Sam Hood established his own portrait business at The Adelaide Photographic Company, 256 Pitt St, Sydney. The Adelaide Photo Company provided ship portraits to the crew of visiting vessels. Australian artists created the works, possibly from photographs provided by the Company, and the Company then took photographs of the finished product.
