BiographyBritish printer and publisher with a close association with the Army and Navy. Founded in Brompton by James Gale in 1868, Thomas Ernest Polden joined the company around 1875 and rose to be a director. The company was incorporated as Gale & Polden Limited in 1892. Polden moved the company to Aldershot in 1893. It gained the royal warrant in 1916.
