Mr Joyce Gold
Irish, 1771 - 1854
Joyce Gold was born in Ireland c. 1771. In 1799, he launched the Naval Chronicle with John William Bunney, whose sister Ann he had married. When the partnership dissolved in 1802, Gold continued on alone until 1818. Thereafter he worked as a letterpress printer in London, and retired to Heslington near York, where he died in 1854.
Gold was the publisher of the Naval Chronicle.
