BiographySally Morgan belongs to the Palku and Nyamal peoples of the Pilbara but grew up in Perth, Western Australia. In 1987 Morgan published 'My Place', an account of her childhood and that of her family. In the story Morgan touches upon many issues that a wider Australian audience had not heard from an Indigenous perspective before, such as the long term trauma of the Stolen Generation and racial identity.

In addition to her numerous literary works, Sally Morgan is also a renowned artist who uses bright colour with contemporary and personal motifs to express her spirituality and connection to her country.
