Biography1825 founded by George Thompson of Aberdeen. 1842 London to Australia route established. 1905 came under the joint control of White Star Line and Shaw, Savill and Albion but retained name. 1932 purchased fully by Shaw, Savill and Albion and incorporated into the Commonwealth Line to form Aberdeen & Commonwealth Line. 1938 the Aberdeen name was dropped.
