Frederick Polydore Nodder

Painter and line engraver of botanical subjects. Born in London, he was created Botanical Painter to the King in 1788.

Sir Joseph Banks employed Frederick Nodder to complete and engrave the drawings from the sketchbooks of the late Sydney Parkinson who accompanied Banks as botanical draughtsman aboard Captain James Cook's The Endeavor in 1771.
