Staffordshire Pottery

Staffordshire Pottery refers to wares produced around the towns of Burslem, Fenton, Hanley, Longton, Stoke and Tunstall in the English midlands. This region's extensive clay soils stimulated early pottery production which reached the height of its fame in the 1700s to 1800s. Staffordshire potteries include the well known companies of Wedgwood, Spode, Minton, Aynsley, Doulton and Twyford.
