Thistle
BiographyFrom about the 1930s, the Australian company Thistle produced a number of design variations of the two-piece swimsuit for women and the topless trunk for men. Thistle was a subsidiary of the textile and hosiery manufacturers Union Knitting Mills Pty Ltd, who operated out of Melbourne. 'Thist'le Fit' was the slogan used in advertising around the late 1930s.
