BiographyAdam Cullen was born in Sydney in 1965. In 1977 his work formed pat of the Moet and Chandon touring exhibition, and in 1988 he had a solo show 'Touch and Go' at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. In the same year he was represented in the Adelaide Biennale of Australian Art. In 1999 he was exhibited in Perspecta at the Museum of Contemporary Art and had a solo touring show 'Blind Side'. In May 2008 he had a second solo show at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

Cullen's portrait of David Wenham was awarded the 2000 Archibald Prize, and his works are held in various public collections including the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the Art Gallery of South Australia, the National Gallery of Victoria and the National Gallery of Australia.
