BiographyBorn in 1908, Harold Charles Nossiter is the son of Harold Nossiter (1875 - 1956) and Winifred Peisley (1878 - 1971). He and his younger brother Richard (Dick) Nossiter (1910 - 2013) were the crew for their father's circumnavigation of the globe 1935 - 1937. He was engaged to Grace Gill (Born 1906) during the voyage, she broke off the engagement on his return, she is mentioned in his letters. He married Elizabeth Williams in 1940, she died in 1948 giving birth to their 3rd child. His second wife was Vere Carey, whom he married in 1948, she died in 1964. The Mrs Nossiter in the donation records is his third wife [Janet] Jean.
