Henry Roderick Dundas Stewart

Mr Henry Roderick Dundas Stewart was an enthusiastic collector of photographs and postcards of ships and supplied many pictures for inclusion in the official history of World War I.

Mr Stewart was an employee of Mcilwraith McEarcharn in Melbourne for over fifty years (dates not known). He died in 1946.

The collection was donated to the Australian War Memorial in 1947 by his wife Mrs V H Stewart of Toorak. Items not appropriate to their collection were transferred relating to commercial vessels were transferred to the Australian National Maritime Museum in 1990.
