Event DescriptionThe ferry GREYCLIFFE collided with mail steamer TAHITI on 3 November 1927 during its usual voyage from Circular Quay to Watsons Bay. The smaller ferry was cut in two by the TAHITA and sank with forty people lives lost, ranging in age from 2 to 81 years old.
