DescriptionThe bus that took Alex Nypl and other post WWII migrants from the Bonegilla Migrant Camp to Corowa, and from there by air, to their work assignment at Woomera.HistoryRecently arrived Czech migrant Alex Nypl was directed by the Australian Commonwealth Employment Service to travel from the Bonegilla Migrant Camp on the 26th of January 1949 to Woomera, South Australia, to start work as a labourer at the Department of Works and Housing on the 27th January 1949. He was instructed to travel by road to Corowa and from there to travel by air to Woomera.
