DescriptionCap tallies are significant items of uniforms for Royal Australian Navy sailors. They indicate the ship or establishment a sailor is based at and are worn at all times on sailors' caps.HistoryHMAS CERBERUS - the Navy's premier training establishment located at Western Port, Victoria. Operational since 1911, it was originally designated Flinders Naval depot and was commissioned CERBERUS in 1921. It trains all male and female naval sailors and more recently Army and Air Force personnel as well. The base offers specialised courses in survivability and ship safety as well as seamanship and weapons training.
