HistoryAssorted nuclei in various colours and sizes, in plastic boxes or wrapped in cloth
A= resin impregnated foam, with nuclei with resin- early Thursday Island - 8 soapstone blister nuclei, 22 experimental nuclei
B=spherical nuclei, mad form mussel or clam shell (bought) - couldn't be extracted as for blisters - so material had to be like pearl in appearance
C=ditto
D=used blister nuclei - could be recycled. Early plastic nuclei
E plastic in 2 parts, shell and base - boil the pearl, plastic shrinks and pops out. DG always used this in the later period.
F=plastic hollow nuclei, made to DG's order - have depression for glue to sit in
G= home-made plastic nuclei - made by Nick George - never put into commercial application
