DescriptionThis collection of 13 black and white photographs were taken of Australian ships and cargo-handling. 12 of the photographs were taken by Geoffrey J Penney whilst serving on board Australian ships, and one was taken by Maritime Studios Sydney. The images show Australian steamships and iron-ore cargo-handling circa 1950 as well as the troopship DUNTROON undergoing conversion after the end of WWII.HistoryThe photographs were taken of the following vessels and images: 1.
