The collection includes a certificate of maritime qualifications from the Dutch "Minister van Marine" (Minister for the Navy) as well as the 1917 Australian naturalisation certificate of John Fisher, who had migrated to Melbourne after his service with the Dutch.SignificanceThese form part of a diverse collection of merchant navy medals and certificates that records several significant military achievements and the wartime service of Australian merchant mariners.
