DescriptionThe manuscript is an unpublished typescript history. The title page reads: 60 Years of Progressive Trade With the World 1895 - 1955 Notable Diamond Jubilee of Nelson and Robertson Proprietary Limited An Appreciation by captain Jack Hamilton. The manuscript has 57 pages of typewritten text and 12 black and white photographs including; Ivan Nelson, founder, Royal Tar, principles and staff of Nelson and Robertson, miner's right, MARY MOORE, CITY OF HANKOW, NIELS RIBE, SEVERN, POONBAR, Norman Charles Nelson, William Edward Ryall, Harold Roy Cooper and Ivan Richard Nelson. Also contained in the book is a loose half photograph (incomplete), identified as being the sailing vessel CEDARBANK, skippered by Hamilton.
