DescriptionThis ammonia print sail plan was created in 1963 for FREYA. Plan measurements and other notes have been inscribed in pencil on the illustration. Design plans for Halvorsen boats were first drafted in pencil and then inked. Copies such as these were then made for use by shipwrights, electricians, plumbers and other tradesmen working on the boat. HistoryFREYA was a yacht that Trygve Halvorsen sailed on from 1963 to 1965 to win Sydney-Hobart. During this time it also won the 1964/5 Blue Water Champion and came second in the 1965 Admiral's Cup Team. SignificanceThe plan is an important record of the building process of a Halvorsen yacht.
