DescriptionThe Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron is a private sailing club which was formed in 1862. The image on this postcard depicts the whale's jawbones at the foreshore parkland area of the Squadron's headquarters in Kirribilli. The jawbones originally came from a whaling station at Twofold Bay, on the south coast of New South Wales.
