DescriptionBlue Sharks (Prionace glauca), also known as blue whalers, are found across the open tropical and temperate waters of the world. They are one of many “requiem” sharks from the family Carcharhinidae, which also includes bull sharks and lemon sharks. Blue sharks are known for their speed and striking blue colour, and though they may approach divers and boats, they rarely attack humans.
