DescriptionA handwritten letter to the Walsh family informing them that their brother William has died. The author is D Condon of Bobbiwa Creek of Narrabri, the brother of William and Mrs Walsh. The letter also gives an update on the land dispute their deceased brother was involved in. HistoryEuropean settlement in the Narrabri area focused predominantly on forestry and grazing. The regions traditional owners were the Kamilaroi whose lands extend north to Goondiwindi, west to Lightning Ridge and south to Quirindi. Bobbiwaa was one of the outstations on the original Nurrabry Run, Killarney was the name of the pastoral run which included Killarney Gap, and Moema was the name of the original station to the south.
