HistoryIn 1881 Captain Fisher took command of HMS INFLEXIBLE. In 1882 it was part of the Mediterranean Fleet assigned to the protection of Queen Victoria during a visit to Menton on the Riviera. In the same year it took part in the Anglo-Egyptian War bombarding the port of Alexandria. Captain John Fisher's actions during the war led to media attention and celebrity, but also to giving up this command due to illness.
