HistoryInformation provided about the spoon by the vendor is as follows 'P&O spoon c. 1911. Very rare imprint P&O purchased the "Blue Anchor Line" in 1910 they commenced their Australia via the Cape run. Five ships was specifically built for the service, "Ballarat", "Beltana", "Benlla", "Berrima" and "Borda". The service was called the "P&O branch line" and was discontinued in favour of the Suez route in 1929'.
