DescriptionSurvey report on SS FEDERAL which begins 'I the undersigned surveyor do hereby certify that at the request of Messrs McIlwraith McEacharn & Co Melbourne I attended at Mort's Dock Balmain Sydney on the 24th 25th and 26 days of June 1891, to survey and report on the SS FEDERAL Captain MacDonald' and concludes 'The FEDERAL is in my opinion a good sound vessel, in excellent condition, staunch and strong; and a good risk for insurance'.
