All appear in "anything Goes", Bong Crosby's new musical.'History'Anything Goes' was a 1936 film directed by Lewis Milestone and starring Bing Crosby, Ethel Merman, Charles Ruggles and Ida Lupino. It was based on the stage musical 'Anything Goes' that included songs by Cole Porter.SignificanceSwim wear was synonymous with Hollywood glamour in the 1930s and Hollywood celebrities were often featured in swim suits for publicity shoots. In this instance, it was part of the chorus line for Bing Crosby's 1936 film 'Anything Goes'. A larger version of this shot was used in promotional posters for the film.
