DescriptionMagazine clipping titled '"It" Girls' featuring a photograph of four Hollywood dancers wearing swim suits. The caption reads ''It' Girls - Four Hollywood girls picked by LeRoy Prinz, Paramount dance director, as examples of show girls with 'it'. The show girl’s profession has become so narrow he declares that the mysterious personal quality which Eleanor Glynn dubbed "It" is now an absolute necessity. All appear in "anything Goes", Bong Crosby's new musical.'History'Anything Goes' was a 1936 film directed by Lewis Milestone and starring Bing Crosby, Ethel Merman, Charles Ruggles and Ida Lupino. It was based on the stage musical 'Anything Goes' that included songs by Cole Porter.SignificanceSwim wear was synonymous with Hollywood glamour in the 1930s and Hollywood celebrities were often featured in swim suits for publicity shoots. In this instance, it was part of the chorus line for Bing Crosby's 1936 film 'Anything Goes'. A larger version of this shot was used in promotional posters for the film.
