It includes 105 menus from five different companies including Royal Viking Lines, China Navigation Company, Peninsular and Oriental Lines; Huddart Parker and Holland America.SignificanceSince the 1940s Mr Bill Brennan has undertaken a number of cruises upon P&O, Royal Viking, Holland America, China Navigation Company and Huddart Parker ships. The documents collected by Mr Brennan during these voyages provide a comprehensive insight into an individual's cruise experience over a period of 40 years. This period saw many changes in the way that shipping companies organised their passenger business, such as the introduction of single class vessels and the development of the cruise industry.
